After we went through the naming exercise we struggled through the tough task of filtering our list of potential names. We decided we should ask people outside our company, essentially our friends, family and colleagues.
A video is worth a thousand surveys…
We wanted to make sure we reached a broad range of people, because having a bunch of techies name things doesn’t always make for a great brand. It seemed fitting we’d crowdsource our name for a crowdsourcing app! Also, I wanted to be able to explain some of the reasoning behind a few of the names we singled out, at first I thought I’d send out a survey, but then decided a quick little video would be a much better idea.
